One of the major drawbacks of the play-to-earn (P2E) games is that it is usually costly to even start playing. Besides, since these are blockchain games, a certain level of blockchain experience is also required. For instance, in order to play Oceanland, you need to:
- Have metamask installed
- Have BNB Smart chain network added
- Have some BNB
- Purchase OLAND in from Pancakeswap or Huobi Global
- Purchase an NFT from the marketplace or swap in-game tokens to craft the NFT yourself
- Swap OLAND with resource tokens for your consumptions
These are the least required steps, and these steps can increase. But no more!
Allow us to introduce you to the Oceanland Free-to-Play (F2P) mode.
By using the F2P mode, you won’t need any wallet, you won’t need any token, and you won’t even need any NFTs. We have provided everything for you. All you need to do is sign up with your email, and start earning.
How to Sign up with Your Email
1- First, you need to sign up with your email. For that, navigate to play.oceanland.io and click the “Login/Signup with Email” button.
2- Click on the Signup button if you haven’t registered before.
3- This will open the sign up page. Enter your email, enter your password, confirm your password, and click the Sign Up button
4- Enter the confirmation code that was sent to your email, and click the Sign Up button.
5- You’ll receive a confirmation message when the verification is completed. Click the OK, and then click the Login button to proceed to the Oceanland game.
6- Switch to the Mining page, and you’ll see one of the four free NFTs (labaled “Crude”) assigned to your account, and ready to be used.
How to Assign Your Metamask to Your Email
You don’t need to assign your wallet as long as you continue to use your free NFTs, but you need to have your Metamask wallet connected to your game account in order to do blockchain transactions such as Crafting, Equipping, and Withdrawing. Fortunately, you can assign your email with your Metamask wallet easily.
1- Visit play.oceanland.io and the Metamask wallet will automatically open for you to connect to the website. If the window doesn’t open, you can click the “Connect to Metamask” button to trigger the window manually. Select the account you want to connect to, and click the “Next” button.
2- Then, login to the game with your email and password.
3- Click the “Settings” button on the top right corner. You’ll see the “Wallet not assigned” warning. Click the “Assign Wallet” button.
4- You’ll see a confirmation window. Please keep in mind that email and Metamask wallet pairing is irreversible. Once you assign your Metamask wallet, you cannot change it. Click the “Assign” button to pair your email and Metamask wallet.
5- Congratulations. You’ve successfully paired your email and Metamask wallet. Click the “OK” button to proceed.
Rules
1- Each account will receive one of the four Tier-0 NFTs. These free NFTs are the “Crude” version of the Tier-1 NFTs.
2- There is no resource consumption when using free NFTs. You can start using your free NFTs immediately
3- There is no time limit for how long you can use your free NFTs. You can use it until the durability hits zero. Then, the NFT will disappear
4- You need to create a new account to obtain a free NFT. However, if you’re already playing Oceanland and have at least 1 NFT equipped, you’ll also be given a free NFT. This NFT will appear in your inventory automatically
5- Cooldown time is 30 minutes for the free NFTs
6- You cannot use multiple accounts within the same IP address
7- You’ll still need Metamask wallet in order to transfer and swap your in-game tokens
8- Oceanland has all the rights to change the current rules and/or add new rules
