We did thorough research on how to release the mobile version. There were a few options, and we evaluated all of them deeply.
The first option was to release the app on the markets. However, there are lots of problems and regulations when publishing a crypto-related app to the markets. Besides, the market owners are also biased toward these apps.
We had to eliminate the native apps because there is no “*apk” for iOS. We would have only served Android users.
Therefore, enter Progressive Web Application (PWA)!
According to the Wiki page, PWA is a type of application software delivered through the web, built using common web technologies. It is intended to work on any platform with a standards-compliant browser, including desktop and mobile devices.
Based on the ease of use, delivery, and development, we decided that PWA is the best option.
How to Install on Android
1- Visit play.oceanland.io on the Chrome browser and click on the 3 vertical dots on the top right corner.
2- Click on the “Install App” button
3- Click on the “Install” button to approve the installation
4- Wait until the installation is completed.
5- Now you can find the app in your app list. Close the Chrome app and visit your app list. You can also create a shortcut on your home screen.
6- Click on the Oceanland icon to start the app and login with your preferred method.
7- Enjoy the game. 😊
How to Install on IOS
1- Visit play.oceanland.io on the Safari browser and click the share button on the top right corner.
2- Click on the “Add to Home Screen” button
3- Click on the “Add” button to approve the installation
4- Now you can find the Oceanland app on your home screen. Close the Safari app and visit your home screen.
5- Click on the Oceanland icon to start the app and login with your preferred method.
6- Enjoy the game. 😊
