Hey Oceanlanders!

Long-awaited and the first of our mini-game series is finally out: Treasure Hunt!

Treasure Hunt is a multiplayer online game in which you hunt for the treasures spread around the island. Without further ado, let’s dive into the game.

How to Register

All you need to play Treasure Hunt is an email address. If you already have an email associated with the Oceanland game, you can use that email. If not:

Head over to https://testnet.oceanland.io/ and hit the “Login/Signup with Email” button.

2. Enter your email address and password and hit Signup.

3. Enter the verification code sent to your email address and finish registration. And that’s it! Now you can login to Treasure Hunt. For that, head over to https://treasurehunttest.oceanland.io/ and tap anywhere to start the game.

4. Enter your email and password, and hit Login.

Now, you can play Treasure Hunt! 🥳

How to Play

The basic aim in Treasure Hunt is to obtain the treasure chests! There are 3 different types of chests as of now:

Green Chest: This chest stays on the map as long as the map is active. This chest can be obtained only once, and will disappear when obtained. The rewards in this chest are fixed.
Blue Chest: This chest stays on the map for 30 minutes. This chest can be obtained only once, and will disappear when the first player obtains it. The rewards in this chest are random.
Wooden Chest: This chest stays on the map for 30 minutes. This chest can be obtained by every player, and will disappear when the timer is up. The rewards in this chest are random.

Terrains

There are different types of terrains in Treasure Hunt. Please note that these types may differ in the future maps.

Sea: Forbidden to move.
Volcano: Forbidden to move
Plain Field: Free to move. Takes one step point
Forest: Free to move. Takes two step points
Mountain: Free to move. Takes three step points

Map

There are various buttons on the map providing various information. Below is the definition of each of the buttons.

Movement

In order to move on the map, you need step points. So, what is this step point? Step points are used to move to the tiles, and obtained by guessing the Bitcoin price! Yes, you’ve heard right. Whenever you want to move to a tile, you need to guess the future price of Bitcoin in 30 seconds.

There are two options when guessing: Up and Down!

When you choose one option, your timer of 30 seconds starts.

If you succeed (if you guess the future price right), you’ll move.

If not,

Well, don’t worry. You can try again. 😀

You also earn XPs when you move. These XPs will be used for special rewards later in the future. You’ll get 1 XP when you move to plain fields, 2 XPs when you move to forests, and 3 XPs when you move to mountains.

Tile Border Colors

You might notice that there are different border colors for tiles. These are:

Blue: Indicates current position
Green: Tiles you can move to
Red: Tiles you cannot move to
Yellow: Latest tile you tried to move

Rules

Terrains require different step points.
You might move to a mountain (which takes 3 step points) in multiple guesses.
Assume you moved ⅓ of the step points. If you try another tile, you previous progress is canceled
You can’t move to seas and volcanos
Maps will change occasionally
We’ll distribute rewards before changing to a new map, and the rewards will be based on the rankings
You are free to move infinite steps, but this might change / be limited in the future
The NFTs you own will increase the amount of rewards you’ll get or you will move more tiles a day. There is a formula when calculating the rewards. You can get twice or thrice the more rewards depending on the number and tier of the NFTs you own.
There are some red filled tiles. These are the other players currently on the map
The rewards you earn are automatically transferred to your Oceanland game account
